Job Title: Tactical Support Officer

Perform consistent and accurate system and equipment checks

• Ensure all equipment for shift is in working order
• Maintain and follow equipment procedures including the sign out and sign in of equipment
• Perform vehicle checks and follow all relevant procedures
• Perform minimum required road checks daily
• Record all breaches and non-compliance of procedures
• Be able to testify in disciplinary hearings where required
• Escalate urgent findings to the TSU supervisor when required
• Behave in a courteous and professional manner
• Perform other functions such as branch audits and or checks at banks, as required from time to time.

Perform secure and professional escorts

• Escort banking vehicles and other vehicles in all high risk areas
• Ensure all bags from vehicles are secured in safes
• React to intelligence supplied regarding potential losses to the Company

Assist in the prevention of robberies and collection of information

• Source and pass on information on possible robberies/attacks
• Confirm all emergencies quickly and provide immediate assistance and feedback to controlroom
• Follow procedures when affecting an arrest
• Maintain confidence and security of information
• Report misconduct

Knowledge

• Thorough knowledge of G4S policies and procedures
• Basic knowledge of securing of evidence of a crime scene
• Competent in all aspects of firearm training and practical shooting
