Job specifications/ responsibilities
- Excellent customer service and after sales service
- Drive promotion and sale of stock
- Monitor stock levels, order stock and ensure correct stock is received and labelled
- Remove damaged stock
- Reduce shrinkage by minimising breakages
- Assist with annual stock takes
- Understanding of procedures for goods collection, delivery, dispatch, ordering and returns
- Liaison with suppliers, merchandisers and buyers including other departments
- General understanding of competitors
Requirements:
- 2-3 years relevant experience in a retail hardware environment
- Matric / Grade 12 essential
- In depth knowledge of relevant merchandise/paint, etc
- Computer literate
- Excellent communication skills
